We are proud and excited to announce that Boise Acupuncture Cooperative will be participating in Idaho Gives 2020!
If you aren’t familiar with it, Idaho Gives is an amazing marathon of local generosity each May, designed to help create awareness and support for organizations that are doing awesome things in our community.
This year, as the global pandemic rocks our community and our world, it's more important than ever to come together and support each other. Also due to the pandemic, Idaho Gives 2020 has been extended from a day to two weeks so that more folks have the opportunity to get online and donate.
Idaho Gives will be in action April 23 -May 7, 2020 and we here at Boise Acupuncture Cooperative are excited to see you there! Visit us at Idahogives.org to donate or help us fundraise!
Why support BAC you ask?
Boise Acupuncture Cooperative is the largest community acupuncture clinic in the mountain west. We are a non-profit, and offer our services on an affordable sliding scale of $15-$40 per treatment. At BAC, our mission is to provide a safe space where people are welcomed as they are and feel empowered to heal. Our community comes to BAC for help with a wide variety of physical, mental, and emotional conditions. Our goal is to provide quality and accessible acupuncture treatment to anyone and everyone that needs it.
BAC has grown from humble roots--in 2014 three women opened a community acupuncture clinic in a garage and Boise Acupuncture Cooperative was born. In 2020, we are open 7 days a week, support 6 full time and 2 part time employees, and have 28 amazing volunteers. Last year we gave a grand total of 14,730 treatments! And we would love to be giving more.
Unfortunately, due to the current global health situation, BAC has been closed for business since March 17. We made this choice sadly, but feel it is the best thing we can currently do to keep our community safe. However, we rely completely on income generated by patient visits to operate. We are currently using our savings to continue to retain our staff and pay the bills, but they will not last for long.
That’s where Idaho Gives comes in!
We are reaching out to our community in the hopes that they will reach back. So many people rely on BAC’s accessible sliding scale and hours to receive the healthcare they need, and we want to be able to continue to provide it. In order to retain our current staff, space, accessible hours, and low cost sliding scale following this global crisis, we are going to need a little bit of help from our friends.

We look forward so much to seeing you back in the treatment room. We are all going to need a lot of acu-naps!
