New? Here's What To Expect.

To prevent the spread, we've made a lot of changes to the clinic. Please read our latest update before scheduling an appointment. Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Things are a little different for now

We offer community-style acupuncture

At Boise Acupuncture Co-op you’ll receive a personalized acupuncture treatment from a licensed acupuncturist in a comfortable recliner - don't worry, we can still treat your back/hip pain! Our treatment room is personable, warm and relaxing. Each one of our patients helps to create a respectful community space for healing.

How your first visit works

-Please arrive 10 min before your appointment. Walking through the door, you will be greeted by a receptionist and asked to fill out our intake form.

-Pay before your treatment. We charge a sliding scale payment of $20-40 and for your first time there is a one-time $10 charge. We accept cash, check, all major credit cards and Health Savings Accounts.

-Head back to the treatment room and help yourself to fuzzy blankets, cough drops, and earplugs. Choose any open and tidy chair, recline and relax.

-Your acupuncturist will review your information and health complaint(s), then meet you at your recliner to talk to you about your goals quietly.

-After the needles are inserted and you are warm and cozy, you are invited to relax for as long as you would like. On average patients rest for 45-60 minutes, but it’s ultimately up to you. When you are ready to get up, make eye contact with your acupuncturist and they will remove your needles and recommend a treatment plan for you.

Our cancellation policy

Appointments canceled with less than 12 hours notice, or are missed altogether, are responsible for a $20 fee due before the next visit. Our mission is to provide affordable acupuncture services in a community setting, serving everyone in the community regardless of their income. If you are unable to pay the cancellation fee, please let us know.

We all help to create a shared healing space

-Silence your phone, enter the clinic quietly, and use a soft voice to help preserve the calm environment.

-Do not wear cologne, perfume, or strong smelling body products. If you smoke, please refrain from smoking right before your appointment.

-Feel free to bring headphones and listen to whatever you'd like. We have white noise makers and there is ambient music quietly playing in the background.

-Wear loose clothing that can be rolled up to your knees and elbows. We have extra skirts, shorts and wraps for you to use as well.

-Be considerate of others. Our clinic is open and welcome to everyone. We request that you make every effort to help us in this mission.
