You Helped Raise $13,800 in Just 4 Days!

In just four days, our neighbors, patients, and volunteers rallied together to raise an incredible $13,800 - helping to keep Boise Acupuncture Co-op thriving!

Together, we confirm the importance of a space where every member of our community is welcomed: a place to reconnect, find calm, and take a break from the expectations of the world. Your support makes this work possible.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for believing in community acupuncture and trusting us to be a steady, caring presence in your lives. Whether you donated, shared our message, or simply showed up for a treatment - YOU are BAC and we can't do any of it without you!

With deep gratitude,

Your BAC Team

Volunteers Needed!

As we continue to grow our schedule, we are looking for more support at the clinic. If you have been in for treatment at least five times and love community acupuncture, consider joining the team as a volunteer!

Front Desk volunteering might be a good fit if you:

  • feel comfortable with technology

  • love organization

  • have attention to detail

  • enjoy connecting with people

We are looking for coverage on Fridays from 3pm-7pm starting June 6th and Tuesdays from 12pm-4pm starting June 10th. We are also hoping a find a few flexible back-up volunteers for stepping in when needed.

We are also looking for a Cleaning Volunteer to keep the clinic tidy weekly. Cleaning usually takes 1-2 hours and includes: vacuuming, swiffer mopping, light dusting, and bathroom cleaning.

If you are interested in learning more, please contact us at volunteer@boiseacucoop.com for more details.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Our Ear Seeds for Mental Health Zine offers a simple tool you can use to get relief from stress, anxiety, addictive behaviors, insomnia, and post-traumatic stress. In this zine you will learn a brief history of the ear points, a visual guide to help you find the points, how to treat them with seeds, and the benefits of this protocol. We offer the zine as a download on our website - we want the information to be widely available so feel free to download it for free, or if you are able you can support BAC by throwing us a couple bones. This online download does not include ear seeds, but they are affordable and super easy to find for sale online! You can also stop in the clinic and purchase a printed & folded zine with a pack of ear seeds included!

Herbs of the Month

BAC carries many herbal formulas to help support your mental health

Acupuncture and herbs have been used together for centuries to support the well being of not only our physical bodies, but also our mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Herbal formulas can be used to support healthy sleeping patterns, address symptoms of chronic stress, reduce anxiety, provide more resilience through depression, and help the body walk through life with a bit more ease and balance. When it comes to mental health, it's best to find a formula that suits your personal needs best while also taking into consideration any other medications you may be taking. If you are interested in using herbs to support your health goals, please talk to your acupunk at your next appointment.
